Bandito Brothers Partners with Sean Cushing, Stephen Lawes, in Cantina Creative

CULVER CITY, CA, August  20, 2010 – Full service media company Bandito Brothers has partnered with Producer Sean Cushing and Director/VFX Supervisor Stephen Lawes to launch Cantina Creative LLC, a design and VFX studio located in Culver City, California.

Prior to forming Cantina, Cushing and Lawes (pictured, l-r) served as Executive Producer and Creative Director, respectively, at Pixel Liberation Front (PLF). The pair have worked on such projects as Avatar, Iron Man 2, Terminator Salvation, and Matrix Revolutions. MOO Studios: Director Molly Schiot Brings Her Many Talents to MOO

LOS ANGELES, CA, July 25, 2010 – LA-based commercial production company MOO Studios has added director Molly Schiot to its roster. Schiot’s talent is currently on display at Levi’s.com, as part of the brand’s  Work Wear campaign. Additionally, a Schiot-helmed comedy short starring Malin Akerman is now appearing on FunnyOrDie.com, and August 27th will see the release of  Schiot’s music video for Danish band The Raveonettes (the video, which is part of a series of representing Dr. Marten’s footwear, is a collaboration with photographer Cass Bird). Arsenal FX: Yole Barrera Joins Expanding Team as VFX Producer

SANTA MONICA, CA, July 16, 2010 – Arsenal FX, the special effects boutique founded and owned by VFX artist Mark Leiss, has added VFX Producer Yole Barrera to its staff. She joins a team that includes Leiss, Executive Producer Ashley Hydrick, Flame Artist/Compositor/Graphic Artist Joseph Grosso, and Sr. VFX Artist Terry Silberman, who came aboard in March. Her first project at Arsenal FX was producing the VFX for this year’s MTV Movie Awards opening and sketches starring Tom Cruise.

Sinuhe Xavier Takes the Double Diamonds with Bandito Brothers

CULVER CITY, CA, July 16, 2010 - Bandito Brothers has signed director/photographer Sinuhe Xavier for exclusive US spot representation. He was represented previously by Green Dot (as part of directing team GOLD), and directed projects for CAA that were produced through SMUGGLER. His first assignment with Bandito Brothers is a Toyota campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi LA, currently being edited at Bandito Post.  “We are extremely happy to have Sinuhe over here in Banditoland,” said Executive Producer Jeff Rohrer. “It is great to see the man in action, and he is a perfect fit for Bandito. Cinematographer Shane Hurlbut Makes the Move to Spot Directing with Bandito Brothers

CULVER CITY, CA, April 16, 2010Bandito Brothers has signed director/cinematographer Shane Hurlbut, ASC, for exclusive US spot representation. Hurlbut’s feature credits include Terminator Salvation, We Are Marshall, Into The Blue, and The Rat Pack, for which he received an ASC nomination. On the commercial front, he counts Visa, Coca-Cola, Verizon, American Express, Discovery, Big Love, and Deadwood among his notable credits. Hurlbut has also worked with music legends The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins. He recently shot a Bandito-produced Navy SEAL narrative feature helmed by Bandito directors Mouse McCoy and Scott Waugh. This is his first spot roost.

As a director, Hurlbut shot webisodes for Terminator Salvation, and recently completed his first directing assignment via Bandito, “Diver,” for the US Navy. He is at work on his next spot assignment, co-directing a Loctite project with Bandito principal/director Mouse McCoy, via Cramer Krasselt.
