Our gifted friends at branded content company ContagiousLA are producing a documentary project titled “Art and Corny” about self-proclaimed “god of advertising” Cornelius Trunchpole.
An enigmatic and elusive figure who has captured the curiosity of ad bizzers, Trunchpole – via his developing non-profit agency Trunchpole and Trunchpole – is dedicated to providing creative services to socially conscious organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. You can visit their Kickstarter Page for additional information on their first project.
The doc is intended to raise awareness about the new agency and the visionary that is Cornelius Trunchpole. Up until this point, the documentary project has been self-funded, but contributions from individuals to help fund travel costs, further filming, licensing fees for music, etc, are still needed. Raging Artists wanted to be a part of this great project by asking our own readers and fans to contribute and help get this film made! You can visit the project’s Kickstarter page to donate – in return, the company is offering some great incentives: a $5 pledge gets a special thank you in the end credits of the film and a personal Facebook post from Trunchpole, donations of $25 and up receive even better gifts (a signed Trunchpole sketch and a game of bocce ball with the filmmakers, just to name a couple). With only five (5) FIVE days left before the pledge drive closes, ContagiousLA needs your pledges, and they need them now.
The fun and quirky 15-minute documentary features interviews with some of the advertising world’s brightest stars and mainstream celebrities outside the industry discussing how they have been influenced by Trunchpole.
ContagiousLA has already filmed interviews with several renowned creative icons including Lee Clow (Apple) and Eric Kallman (Old Spice). Jeff Goodby (Goodby Silverstein in San Francisco) is scheduled to film this fall, as is Mr. George Parker of Boise,Idaho – a writer and creative consultant with over thirty years of advertising experience worldwide and a legend in his own right. The production is also pursuing entertainment icons Steven Spielberg and Hugh Hefner, and Cornelius Trunchpole himself is hot on the trail of former U.S. Vice President – and environmental visionary – Al Gore.
Trunchpole and Trunchpole has a board of directors consisting of various high-level industry people working closely with Trunchpole to realize his vision. We here at Raging Artists could not be more excited for return of one of the most influential figures in advertising. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of it!
